Anyone with even a passing knowledge of Russian history is horrified by the encroachment of NATO on it’s borders. If the EU decides to establish a common defense force that includes all the countries bordering Russia, then it must do so in cooperation with Russia. While it would be fatal to allow the Russian military to dominate it’s neighbours, the Russian government must have full confidence that the EU is not a threat.

We must protect our fisheries. When all the oil and gas are gone we will still be left with a constantly renewing, natural resource. But only if we look after it. All Atlantic countries must cooperate to protect this resource and useless military equipment should be retasked for fishery and environmental protection.
