1. Political corruption and white collar crime don’t receive the attention they deserve.
2. GSOC should have the resources to do their job.
3. Gardai must be trained to provide a professional policing service instead of embodying the law in themselves.

Many years ago the gards used to walk a beat, meeting members of the public and were part  of the community they served. They knew what was going on around them and could respond appropriately. Now they drive around in cars looking out at anybody they pass and regard us with suspicion. Instead of being guardians of the peace, maintaining laws that we all agree to respect, they are becoming enemies of the people, just like police forces in the USA.
